Poultry Farming
Poultry farming in Greece is the most dynamic sector of animal production with a self-sufficiency rate in eggs and meat of over 90%. The farmed species of birds are hens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, quail, pigeons, pigeons, pheasants, partridges and ostriches. However, of the above farmed birds, is hens that have the greatest economic value and therefore the term ‘poultry farming’ has become synonymous with ‘hen farming’.
Cattle Farming
